Hello and welcome! My name is Tarah Ferguson, no surprise there I imagine:), and I am a Canadian who has been living in the UK for over 5 years now. I live in Salisbury, England with my partner Scott and our two boys, Bear who is eight (going on 18 some days) and Xavier who is two. We love a little family adventure, which at the moment consists of bike riding, exploring the New Forest and crabbing at Mudeford Quay.

When we are not out and about, we do like a good fort-building session in the living room, family movie night in the playroom and an art or lego-building session at the kitchen table (spread out on a mat for easy clean-up;). Having two active boys in the house means that the rooms that we hang out most in, often perform double duty, and there is nothing that I love more than solving a good design challenge; turning a mundane, non-functioning, uninspiring space into a colourful oasis that inspires, sparks joy and puts a smile on your face every time you enter the room. That is my jam!

This appreciation for bright, bold, colourful spaces is no accident. Growing up with a fashion designer mother, I was exposed early on to the positive effects a beautifully decorated and well-organised space can have on your well-being, particularly as a child. Now, as a mom of four boys, not only am I in awe of how hard my mom worked to keep our home looking SO CLEAN (she is a legend!) but more importantly, the impact space and design have on little people, especially for encouraging exploration, sparking curiosity, and fostering a love for imagination, play, and learning.

My goal with Tarah Ferguson Home is to share my passion for creating colourful and joyful spaces with others who are keen to do the same, but don't know where to start. Working together, I will work with you to identify the colours, patterns and textures that energise you and bring you joy, define your or your kiddos personal design aesthetic and outline your goals and desires for the space.  This will lay the foundation for the look and feel of your space, and will act as a jumping-off point for creating a beautifully curated space that is personalised, fun and functional; the perfect place for all of life’s messes, moments and memories.
